David W. Gottler. Chief Financial Officer
David W. Gottler, Chief Financial Officer, is responsible for financial reporting, review of annual and quarterly operating budgets and business plans, asset management, cash management and management information systems. In addition, he participates in due diligence and managing lender and investor relationships.
Prior to joining Wingate in 2002, David was employed from 1986 to 1993 and 1995 to 2000 as the CFO/Controller of MPA (formerly Capital Partners), a national real estate management and development firm. He was responsible for the financial and administrative functions of the firm, including accounting and financial reporting, information systems, banking, cash management, asset management, human resources, property casualty programs and legal affairs. He provided strategic advice to senior management and was instrumental in converting MPA into an institutional investment management firm.
In addition, David has served as the Controller of Wingate Management Company (1994 to 1995) and as the CFO/Controller of Howard Systems International, Inc. (1982 to 1986), a New York–based multistate data processing and management consulting firm. David began his career as a CPA on the audit staff of the New York office of Arthur Young & Company where, from 1979 to 1982, he audited firms in the real estate, publishing, financial services, textiles, music and oil/gas industries.
David is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the New York State Society of CPAs, the Financial Executives Institute and the Treasurer’s Club of Boston. He received his undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College in 1977 and his MBA from Columbia University in 1979.
